Just a quick note. We've updated the Maps to reflect the 2011 Marathon Course.

November 13, 2011 the 5th Annual Fort Worth Marathon, ½ Marathon, and 20 Miler, for those training for White Rock Marathon (gotta do 20 that weekend anyway!).

Sign up now and avoid the late fees. Race day registration is tooo much to wait. Free Money! All Prize money goes to a RANDOM Finisher in each race.

We fixed the water stop problems on race day last year, we learned our lesson. So please support us by coming back and bring a friend. We have great race day plans again. Great food( not a banana an a bagel), live music, belt buckles instead of medals, key drop spot, sun screen station, bag drop at mile 5 (for real).

You will be given 2 tags in your packet pick up bag. The little one will be to tie to your keys and leave at the start with our Police. The bigger one will be to tie on anything to be dropped at mile 5 where it will be picked up and brought back to the stadium after the last person goes thru 5 mile marker on the way out in the morning. 

We have SHOWERS. If you are particular bring your own sundries, this is not the DePoc Chopra Spa, we will have Dr Bonner's Peppermint soap and a louffa to scrub down with in the shower, errrr maybe not. BRING YOUR OWN TOWEL !!!

We have some t-shirts and belt buckles from the last year or 2 left over that we will be letting out at cost ,to put money to the Run Like A Cheetah school program. Please help us out with your generosity. Some people did not get the right shirts last year and we reordered and mailed or contacted all on the list. Some people were angry we had shirts on the web site BUT those were all the XS that we had misordered, please be understanding.

For all the half-marathoners who were confused with turn around markers, this year's race will have the major necessary improvements. We apologize for the inconvenience the lack of clear markers caused to last year's participants. The signs will be up and more clearly marked so that you can focus on your race, and not on the logistics of when you are supposed to head back to the finish.

As some of you might remember, a few runners had to skip some of the planned restroom stops during last year's marathon. Apparently some port-a-potties didn't feel like working during their assigned shifts.

Requesting all who know this woman to contact Steve Looney immediately! I met her at the White Rock Marathon Expo, and we got to talking. She ran the Fort Worth marathon the prior November and was proudly wearing her belt buckle award. She said she wanted to be the model for our finishers' belt buckle! Since she was sporting it so well on her black alligator belt, I took her picture.
